Application Details
- Apply online or send paper applications to loveoutdoorpreschool@gmail.com or to Arlington Unitarian Cooperative Preschool, c/o Membership at 4444 Arlington Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22204.
- Application Deadline: All applications must be processed by the application deadline of Friday, February 7, 2025, to be included in our admissions lottery. Applications will not be processed until the $50 application fee has been paid. Any applications received after the deadline will be processed in the order that they are received.
- Application Fee: $50 per student paid via PayPal, Venmo (@aucpva) or submitted with your paper application.
- Financial Assistance: For inquiries regarding financial assistance with the application fee, please contact our Board Treasurer at aucp.treasurer@gmail.com.
- Admissions Lottery Notification: Applicants will be notified of their waitlist status via email by March 1, 2025.
Open House
Join us for our 2025 open house on Saturday, January 25, from 10am to 12pm. You’ll have the opportunity to explore our classrooms, playground, and school garden, meet teachers and parents, and learn more about our program. Children are welcome to attend and play. Our Antiracism Book Club is hosting a read-aloud at 11am. RSVP here.
Financial Aid
AUCP offers need-based financial aid. Families with a household income below 3.5 times the Head Start income limits are eligible for aid on a sliding scale. Financial aid applications must be received by February 7, 2025, to be considered for the upcoming school year. Aid may be available after the deadline. Admissions Policies
We welcome children aged one to five years old, embracing diversity in race, color, religion, nationality, and ethnic origin. AUCP conducts a blind lottery annually to fill any openings, giving equal opportunities to all applicants. We do not carry a waitlist from year to year.
Priority is given to the children of AUCP staff, current families, former families, and Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington pledging members and friends. Applicants will be notified of their admissions status by March 1. Applications received after the deadline will be considered in the order that they are received.
Family Registration Fee and Tuition Deposit (Due Upon Acceptance)
Upon acceptance, each family pays a one-time $120 non-refundable registration fee (per family, not per child). This fee includes Central Registry and criminal background checks for each co-oping parent. A one-month enrollment deposit is required to reserve your spot. This deposit is refundable if you withdraw in writing before April 30, 2025 and if we’re able to fill your spot. The enrollment deposit is non-refundable after April 30, 2025. Both the family registration fee and tuition deposit are due within 7 days of receiving your acceptance letter.
